The Film School of the University of the Arts aims to train high-level professionals in the field of film and audiovisual arts, with extensive knowledge of techniques, crafts, history, languages, aesthetics and current enclaves. of reflection regarding the creation, the industry and the economy of cinema and audiovisual arts.

For this, the career proposes the conjugation of research activities, criticism, production, practice and creation, with an emphasis on contemporary forms and narratives, adopting a focus on the particularities and needs of the local context, intercultural dialogues and the production and reflection developed in the southern hemisphere.

GRADUATE PROFILE:

The graduate of the Uartes Film School will know the history of world cinema and the place that Ecuadorian cinema has in it, creatively applying different methods of film analysis and developing activities of direction, production, script writing, sound design, art direction, lighting and production design in cinematographic, audiovisual productions, in various formats, genres and areas. Graduates will also be able to solve fundamental problems of cinematographic research, with an emphasis on contemporary approaches to the cinematographic fact and audiovisual expressions.
