International Relations
One of the objectives of the University of the Arts is to be open to the world, prioritizing the development of relations and exchange with the international community to link the local with the global.
The communication possibilities made possible by new technologies facilitate the internationalization of the University of the Arts. This process involves different aspects such as: the participation of teachers trained abroad, inviting of professors and foreign artists as special guests, as well as the involvement of the community of teachers and students of UArtes abroad. In addition, the teaching of foreign languages to students serves as a tool to understand other cultures, open up to new horizons and thus promote their mobility.
Arts universities should take an international approach to knowledge dissemination, thereby allowing it to stimulate their research initiatives, favor the exchange of academic experiences for training and facilitate the involvement of their students in the global artistic and academic circuit. It is undeniable that when working together with other artists, researchers and institutions, that the production of knowledge of the UArtes, in art, on art and for the arts will be enriched.
According to pedagogical and research needs, the academic units are responsible for the internationalization of UArtes. Members of the university community are, in fact, already involved in various projects with an international scope.
Our role from the Department of International Relations is:
- Coordinate the creation of strategic alliances with academic and cultural cooperation institutions and networks linked to the arts of the Latin American region and the world;
- Accompany the realization and dissemination of activities with an international component;
- Promote and organize the mobility of students and teachers;
- Help to obtain and manage international funds and scholarships to finance programs and initiatives;
- Ensure the visibility of UArtes regionally and internationally.
