Carlos, Ferrín. “Muerte y libertad”.

Abstract
250 years after the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, 193 after his death, and the German musician seems to be more alive than ever. I will try to approach the composer through the anlysis of the 9th symphony where Beethoven is enunciated as a being thrown into the “future”, a being that presents itself as a possibility, a being which is for death and freedom at the same time. For the freedom because he was a transgressor from the own schemes of the classical period which he belonged and for death because it is a spirit resounding among the living, being the bridge to a new music.
