One of the objectives of the University of the Arts of Ecuador (UArtes) is to maintain an open dialogue with the world by prioritizing international cooperation and exchange and connecting the local with the global. local with the global.

Digital technologies expand UArtes’ opportunities for internationalization. This process includes the participation of faculty members who have trained abroad, visits by international faculty and artists, and the involvement of UArtes faculty and students in activities and initiatives abroad. Foreign language instruction also provides students with the tools to understand other cultures, broaden their horizons, and pursue international mobility opportunities.

Universities specializing in the arts need an international outlook to encourage research initiatives, promote the exchange of academic experiences, and connect students with global artistic and academic networks. Collaboration with artists, researchers, and institutions worldwide enriches knowledge production in, on, and for the arts at UArtes.

In line with teaching and research priorities, academic units play a leading role in the internationalization of UArtes. Members of the university community are already involved in a wide range of internationally oriented projects.
