Guionista y director ecuatoriano que trabaja en documental y ficción.
Tiene una Maestría en Dirección de Cine por la Escuela de Artes de la Universidad de Columbia.
Su ópera prima de ficción, “Mejor no hablar (de ciertas cosas)”, ha sido galardonada en importantes festivales nacionales e internacionales y fue postulada por Ecuador a los Premios de la Academia en el 2014 en la categoría de Mejor Película Extranjera.
Ha dirigido los documentales Canción de Toquilla” y “La Casa del Ritmo” y en 2017 estrenó “52 Segundos”, una mirada personal al terremoto ocurrido en Ecuador el 16 de abril de 2016, la Premiere internacional de ese trabajo tuvo lugar en mayo de 2018 en Hot Docs en Toronto, Canadá.
En Mayo de 2019, se estrenó como director teatral con un montaje de “Oleanna” de David Mamet en la ciudad de Guayaquil. Está desarrollando dos proyectos de ficción, “Julio”, un proyecto basado en la vida de la leyenda de la música ecuatoriana Julio Jaramillo y “Loretta Young y los monstruos”, una mirada refrescante al género del body horror. Su última cinta de ficción “Lo Invisible” tendrá su Premiere mundial en Septiembre de 2021 y en el prestigioso Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
