The Bachelor's Degree in Film invites you to discover a world in constant movement; future professionals will become creators of stories, aesthetics, images and sounds, with a broad knowledge of cinematographic language and contemporary narrative forms.
The Film School of the Universidad de las Artes offers a program that aims to train high-level professionals in the field of film and audiovisual arts, with extensive knowledge of the techniques, trades, history, languages, aesthetics and the current enclaves of reflection on the creation, industry and economy of film and the audiovisual. To this end, the program proposes the combination of research, criticism, production, practice and creation activities, with an emphasis on contemporary forms and narratives, adopting an approach attentive to the particularities and needs of the local context, to intercultural dialogues and to the production and reflection developed in territories of the South.
Graduates of this program will become familiar with the history of world cinema and the place of Ecuadorian cinema in it, creatively applying different methods of film analysis and developing activities of direction, production, script writing, sound design, art direction, lighting and production design in cinematographic and audiovisual productions in various formats, genres and fields. He/she will also be able to solve fundamental problems of cinematographic research, with emphasis on contemporary approaches to filmmaking and audiovisual expressions.
The professors of the Film School are professionals with recognized academic and artistic careers, specialized in the proposed core fields of the program (theory and criticism, creative production, writing, research and expanded field). It is a community of filmmakers who approach critical writing; critics who explore visual and audiovisual narratives; researchers who construct and deconstruct from the inter and transdisciplinary.
El manual de estilo de la Universidad de las Artes está ya alojado en la página web del CEAT, listo para ser descargado. No obstante, el 24 de abril se realizó su presentación impresa en la Biblioteca de las Artes con la asistencia de nuestras autoridades, docentes, estudiantes y administrativos. La obra es una herramienta que apunta a fortalecer la coherencia y la calidad en la redacción de documentos institucionales y académicos.
El intercambio de libros, una cita imperdible para quienes gustan de la lectura y están dispuestos a compartir obras en buen estado y buscar aquellas que llamen su atención, fue una de las primeras actividades que dio inicio ayer, 22 de abril, a la V edición de Lanfor Abierta. Organizada por la Biblioteca de las Artes por el Día Internacional del Libro, su programación incluye lecturas, charlas y una jornada bibliotecológica.
Para dialogar con los representantes de Manglaralto y Ayangue, funcionarios de la Dirección de Vinculación con la Sociedad y los responsables de dos de los proyectos de vínculo visitaron los territorios para coordinar actividades que beneficien a sus habitantes. Integraron la delegación: Marcelo Leyton, Ronny Ramos y Patricio Sánchez, de la DVS, el docente Pedro Segovia y la estudiante y maestrante Cecibel Cortez.
