The Directorate of International Relations promotes and facilitates international mobility opportunities for students.
UArtes’ agreements with higher education institutions abroad allow students to spend one or two academic terms at a partner institution. These experiences strengthen their academic and professional development and contribute to their personal growth by exposing them to new challenges and diverse cultural environments.
UArtes also works closely with institutions abroad by serving as a host institution for international students, thereby creating a multicultural academic environment. The presence of international students on campus diversifies our classrooms and fosters the exchange of perspectives and intercultural understanding within the university community.

Nomination and Application Process
The University of the Arts accepts applications from international students who wish to participate in an academic mobility program for one or two academic terms.

All required documentation must be submitted by the international relations office of the student’s home institution via email to: internacionales@uartes.edu.ec
Courses
The UArtes academic calendar is divided into two academic terms, each lasting between four and five months. During their mobility period, students may enroll in up to six courses offered by the University’s five Schools.

Language
All academic offerings are delivered exclusively in Spanish. Therefore, students whose first language is not Spanish must provide proof of Spanish proficiency at the B1 level. A certificate issued by their home university or another recognized institution may be accepted.
