The program's objective is to train writers to work, in a versatile manner, in the generation of writing projects aimed at the creation of literary works, scripts or non-fiction texts. In this area, a unique academic experience is guaranteed, since the laboratories and seminars explore the diverse possibilities of critical imagination and creative work for the improvement of the craft with the written word.

Professionals with a Bachelor's Degree related to the literary field, the arts, education, social sciences, journalism or communication. Also, graduates in audiovisual techniques, multimedia and audiovisual production, social sciences or humanities in general.
The graduate of the program is capable of working in various fields of creative writing: production of literary works, scripts and screenplays for the press, theater, radio, film or television. They will also be able to work as writers or advisors in the production of content in the fields of music, digital media, audiovisuals, among others. He/she may also work as a teacher or in the editorial field and in the communications areas of public and private institutions.

El manual de estilo de la Universidad de las Artes está ya alojado en la página web del CEAT, listo para ser descargado. No obstante, el 24 de abril se realizó su presentación impresa en la Biblioteca de las Artes con la asistencia de nuestras autoridades, docentes, estudiantes y administrativos. La obra es una herramienta que apunta a fortalecer la coherencia y la calidad en la redacción de documentos institucionales y académicos.
El interés de fortalecer su práctica compositiva desde una perspectiva académica y crítica motivó a José Luis García a estudiar la Maestría en Composición Musical y Artes Sonoras. El artista es parte de la segunda cohorte del programa de posgrados. InfoUArtes centra el diálogo con él en torno a que su catálogo de música y diseño sonoro fue aceptado oficialmente en Pond5, plataforma líder para la industria del cine, la TV y los videojuegos.
La puesta en escena de la pieza “La memoria de un retrato” del grupo de danza Sepia y las presentaciones de La Batucada Popular y el Ensamble Ritmo Legendario dieron el marco artístico al informe de rendición de cuentas 2025 de la Universidad de las Artes, el cual fue socializado con la ciudadanía y nuestra comunidad por el rector Saidel Brito y los vicerrectores Yulianela Pérez y Andrey Astaiza. Tuvo lugar este 14 de abril, en la Plaza Pública del MZ14 UArtes.
