International Agreements

One of UArtes’ strategic objectives is to strengthen partnerships with international institutions and organizations in order to advance sociocultural transformation in different territories. To this end, the University has entered into cooperation agreements with institutions abroad, enabling the university community to participate in academic mobility programs; academic, scientific, cultural, and artistic projects and activities; and access bibliographic resources, among other benefits.

    Benefits of International Agreements for the UArtes Community

    Agreement Between UArtes and the Alianza Francesa de Guayaquil

    • A 50% discount for students, faculty, and administrative staff on the registration fee for the Alianza Francesa media library, which provides access to the Culturethèque (online library). 
    • A 10% discount for students, faculty, and administrative staff on B1 or B2 proficiency examinations.  
    • A 20% discount on B1 or B2 proficiency examinations for up to 10 UArtes students. 
    • A 10% discount for students, faculty, and administrative staff on C1- or C2-level French language courses.  
    • A 20% discount on C1- or C2-level French language courses for up to 10 UArtes students

    Specific Agreement between UArtes and the Instituto Confucio at Universidad San Francisco de Quito

    • A 50% discount on the standard module fee for Chinese language courses for students, faculty, graduates, and administrative staff.
    • Participation in artistic and cultural activities organized by the Instituto Confucio related to Chinese culture.
    • Seven full scholarships for UArtes students, covering registration, books, and tuition for five consecutive Chinese language modules at the Instituto Confucio USFQ. These scholarships will be awarded during 2023; further details will be provided to UArtes students in due course.

    Framework Agreement for Interinstitutional Cooperation with the Instituto Brasileiro-Equatoriano de Cultura (IBEC) 

    • A 30% discount on the standard fee for each level for UArtes students, faculty, graduates, and administrative staff.
    • Participation in artistic and cultural activities organized by IBEC related to Brazilian culture.
    • Recognition by UArtes of the CELPE-BRAS certificate and/or the IBEC diploma for credit transfer purposes. In the latter case, students must have completed five of the seven levels offered by IBEC.

    Agreement with the Centro Cultural Ecuatoriano Alemán

    • A 15% discount for payments made in cash or by bank transfer and an 8% discount for payments made by debit or credit card on the standard course fee for UArtes students, faculty, administrative staff, and graduates, as well as their immediate family members (first degree of consanguinity). 
    • Participation in artistic and cultural activities organized by the Centro Cultural Ecuatoriano Alemán. 
    • Ten annual scholarships covering the full course fee for undergraduate and graduate UArtes students, valid for the duration of the agreement and applicable to the introductory level only. Scholarships will be awarded through internal calls for applications jointly launched by the UArtes Directorate of International Relations and the Centro Cultural Ecuatoriano Alemán. 
    • Special rates for Goethe-Institut examinations for UArtes students, faculty, administrative staff, and graduates, as well as their first-degree relatives by blood. 
    • Special rates for ticketed events organized by the Centro Cultural Ecuatoriano Alemán for UArtes faculty, students, administrative staff, and graduates, subject to availability.
    • Promotion of scholarship and academic exchange opportunities offered by partners of the Red Kultura Alemana network.
