Admission Profile

Professionals holding a bachelor's degree duly registered by the governing body of higher education public policy, either in the specific field of Arts or with at least one year of experience in arts and culture management.

If the undergraduate degree was obtained abroad, applicants must submit it to the institution duly apostilled or legalized through consular channels prior to enrollment.

Graduate Profile 

The Master's in Musical Composition and Sound Arts graduate applies theoretical and conceptual frameworks of music and sound art to the creation of original works, composing music for a variety of formats and artistic contexts. They demonstrate proficiency in digital editing and music creation tools, incorporating compositional techniques aligned with technological advances and contemporary aesthetics. They design, manage, and develop musical projects for concert, recording, and other artistic applications, and carry out creative processes in which music plays a central or transversal role. They conduct research from trans, inter, and multidisciplinary perspectives within the field of musical culture, with a particular focus on creation..

  • Weekly sessions (Monday through Friday): 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM (online)
  • Intensive sessions (one per semester, on a weekends– in-person)
  • Enrollment fee: $300.00 USD 
  • Tuition: $ 4.200,000 USD 
    15 installments of $280.00 USD

  • Copy of national identity card. 
  • Copy of passport (for international students) 
  • Copy of the undergraduate degree obtained in Ecuador, registered with SENESCYT; if obtained abroad, the degree must be apostilled and legalized. 
  • Curriculum vitae with copies of professional and academic credentials. 
  • Two academic and/or professional letters of recommendation in the applicant's field and/or in the field of the master's program. 
  • Summary of a proposed thesis project (maximum 500 words). 
  • Statement of purpose outlining the applicant's motivations for pursuing the program (maximum one page). 

Applicants who meet the requirements will be interviewed by the program coordinator. The following will also be considered: 

  • Demonstrated technological proficiency for the use of virtual learning platforms. 
  • A minimum of one year of experience in one of the program's areas of study, as well as demonstrable competencies in score reading and comprehension, will be valued.
  • Completion of all enrollment and tuition payment procedures.

Yes. You may access our Referral Discount Program, designed exclusively for individuals who do NOT hold RUAC registration and do NOT belong to the UArtes university community (alumni, faculty, or administrative staff).

The referral program allows you to earn discounts by recommending the program to others.

Terms and Conditions:

  • The discount is 5% for each referred individual who completes enrollment in the program.
  • The discount is cumulative, based on the number of referred individuals who effectively enroll.
  • This benefit applies only to applicants who: are NOT members of the University of the Arts community, and do NOT hold RUAC registration.
  • Referred individuals must also not belong to the UArtes university community and must not hold RUAC registration.
  • The discount applies only to the person making the referral.
  • The benefit is activated only once the referred individual completes their enrollment in the program.

Benefit Example:

  • 1 enrolled referral → 5% discount
  • 2 enrolled referrals → 10% discount
  • 3 enrolled referrals → 15% discount

To be admitted to a master's program at UArtes, applicants must hold a third-level undergraduate degree. This level includes bachelor's degrees as well as university or polytechnicprofessional titles and their equivalents. 

It is a mode that combines virtual and in-person activities..

Yes. Graduate programs offer a scholarship and partial tuition waiver system. These consist exclusively of reductions to the tuition fee and do not include the disbursement of financial resources.

Recommendation letters are free in format and should preferably be addressed to the Director of the Graduate School of the University of the Arts. They must include the applicant's full name as well as the name, surname, and signature of the recommending individual.
