Candidato a doctor en música por la Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina “Santa María de los Buenos Aires”. Máster universitario en música española e hispanoamericana (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 2012); Magister en música (Universidad Simón Bolívar, 2009); Licenciado en música mención composición (Instituto Universitario de Estudios Musicales-UNEARTE, 2005).
Fue director y fundador del proyecto 0,02 música vocal contemporánea. Realizó residencias artísticas en el Centro Nacional de las Artes y Escuela Superior de Música (México DF) y en la Asociación Francesa de Acción Artística de Ciudad de las Artes (París).
Ha publicado artículos de investigación en musicología y en artes en las revistas en línea Contrapulso (Chile) Síneris y Cuadernos de Etnomusicología (España); Revista Avances y El Oído Pensante (Argentina) y Músicaenclave de la Sociedad venezolana de musicología. Es autor del libro El discurso tropical. Producción musical e industrias culturales (2018) y coautor junto a Meining Cheung Ruiz de Producción musical. Pedagogía e investigación en artes (2020). Ha publicado más de treinta obras en Estados Unidos por la editorial Cayambis Music Press.
Sus investigaciones giran entre el análisis de la música popular, la producción musical, estética de la grabación, entre otros.
