Master's Degree in Musical Composition and Sound Arts.

Admission Profile

Professionals with a third level degree, duly registered by the governing body of public higher education policy and with experience in musical creation and sound arts, as well as complying with the admission process established in the program. In the event that the degree is obtained abroad, the applicant must present it to the Universidad de las Artes duly apostilled or legalized by consular means in order to enroll in the program.

Summary of the graduate profile

• Applies the theoretical and conceptual references of music and sound art in the creation of works of their own authorship.
• Master music editing and creation programs to adapt their creations to different formats.
• Compose original music for different formats.
• Apply in their musical compositions the techniques of composition in tune with technological advances and current aesthetics.
• Curate and manage their musical project, for concert, recording or other artistic application.
• Design and execute musical projects, as well as artistic processes where music participates in one way or another.
• Develop research from trans, inter and multidisciplinary approaches in the different areas of the musical culture system, especially in the area of musical creation.
• To promote and develop epistemological conceptual frameworks linked to the social sciences related to the field of sound arts;
• To perfect the methodology of practical group work in its investigative, technical and communicative functions.
• To relate music as a manifestation inextricably intertwined not only with other artistic events but also with the socioeconomic, political, social and cultural contexts in a given space and time;
• To respect cultural, religious, political, gender and sexual diversity, as well as to instill learning within this plurality;
• Respect the creative individuality of composers in their right to select repertoire, style and ways of projection.
