The University of the Arts begins the process of validation of career trajectories..
On December 20, 2021, the University of the Arts begins its process of Validation of artistic or cultural career paths 2021-2022 for third degree level in the framework of the specific agreement signed with the Ministry of Culture and Heritage (MCyP). This process has its legal basis in the Regulation for the validation of artistic or cultural career paths, issued by the Higher Education Council on June 3, 2020.
The programs to be fully or partially validated are:
- Visual Arts
- Literature
- Film Studies
- Theatrical Creation
- Musical Production
- Musical and Sound Arts
For the validation of professional artistic or cultural careers, the following criteria will be taken into account:
- Time basis: It is essential to demonstrate at least 10 years of professional artistic activity.
- Experience in knowledge transmission: It is indispensable to have at least 40% of the years of base time in which the artist has been a generator of teaching/learning processes.
- Works and artistic production
- Research
- Recognitions and distinctions
- Training and improvement
- Contribution
To facilitate the submission of information, the Universidad de las Artes has created a computer platform through which applicants can upload evidence according to each criterion. In other words, applications will only be submitted virtually. The artists will be supported and accompanied by UArtes staff during this stage. On the other hand, using its autonomous responsibility, the Universidad de las Artes may limit the number of applications received, depending on its institutional capacity.
The process of validation of artistic or cultural career paths is not contemplated within the items of free higher education, so a total value of $1050 has been established, which will serve to cover the technical and operational demands of the process.

Aprobado por el OCS para dar inicio al proceso de Validación de Trayectorias Profesionales, Artísticas o Culturales de la Universidad de las Artes, en el que consta el detalle de la modalidad de pagos para este proceso.
Expedido por el CES, el presente Reglamento tiene por objeto normar el procedimiento que se aplica para el reconocimiento de una destacada trayectoria artística o cultural como equivalente a la aprobación de la totalidad o parte de una carrera o programa; así como, regular el procedimiento para el reconocimiento de trayectorias artísticas, en cumplimiento de los artículos 49, 51, 54 y 108.2 de la Ley Orgánica de Educación Superior (LOES).
