The process for Artistic or Cultural Professional Trajectory Validation is not currently active. The last process took place in the 2021-2022 period, and at the moment there is no new call scheduled.
University of the Arts will inform promptly through its official channels if this process is resumed in the future.
The University of the Arts begins the trajectory validation process.
On December 20, 2021, the University of the Arts began its process of Artistic or Cultural Trajectory Validation for the third level of degree within the framework of the specific agreement signed with the Ministry of Culture and Heritage (MCyP). This process has its legal basis in the Regulation for the Validation of Artistic or Cultural Trajectories, issued by the Higher Education Council on June 3, 2020.
The programs to be validated, total or partial, are:
- Visual Arts
- Literature
- Film
- Theater Creation
- Music and Sound Production
- Musical and Sound Arts
For the validation of artistic or cultural professional trajectories, the following criteria will be taken into account:
- Base Period.– A minimum of 10 years of professional artistic activity must be demonstrated.
- Knowledge Transmission Experience.– A minimum equivalent to 40% of the base period years must be documented, during which the artist has actively engaged in teaching and learning processes.

To facilitate the submission of information, UArtes has developed an online platform through which applicants may upload supporting evidence for each criterion. All applications must therefore be submitted exclusively online. Artists will receive guidance and support from UArtes staff throughout this stage. Furthermore, in the exercise of its institutional autonomy, UArtes reserves the right to limit the number of applications accepted, based on its institutional capacity.
The validation of artistic or cultural professional trajectories is not covered under the higher education tuition-free provisions; accordingly, a total fee of $1,050 has been established to cover the technical and operational requirements of the process.
