To train specialized professionals who are familiar with the history and the main theoretical, ethical and aesthetic problems posed by documentary film, capable of using, in addition, the basic technical tools to produce audiovisual works of documentary genre, that take into account the complexity of the construction of places of enunciation and approaches to reality through film.

Master's Degree in Musical Composition and Sound Arts

To develop, from musical composition, abilities and skills that will allow students to apply the modern tools of sound creation in their respective practices.

Master's Degree in Visual Arts and New Media

To train professionals with artistic, conceptual and technological skills, for the development of artistic practices and thoughts articulated with and from new media, capable of strengthening the artistic, cultural, social and economic landscape, from critical thinking and innovation.

Master's Degree in Culture and Arts Management

Explores tools, strategies, models, projects and management processes in culture and the arts. These expanding lines of knowledge with great potential for the development of territories, citizenship, imaginaries, artistic practices and administrative-logistical processes are recognized and interrelated.

Master's Degree in Performing Arts

To train professional specialists in creation-research, capable of generating artworks, pedagogical and research processes in the field of performing arts from critical, intercultural and transdisciplinary perspectives, linking their processes to various fields of knowledge-action of the expanded scene.

Master's Degree in Creative Writing

To train writers capable of generating, transferring and applying knowledge in the field of creative writing, producing original literary works, scripts and chronicles in the areas of fiction and non-fiction.

Master's Degree in Photography and Society in Latin America

This program contributes to the articulation of the theoretical study and practical application of photography from its conception as an artifact and device that constructs a visual discourse in a social, political and cultural context, from the creative and critical perspective of the Latin American space.

La UArtes presenta “Dormíamos Bailando”, una obra escénica accesible creada desde el proyecto de investigación “DISLOCAR: Transducciones para la accesibilidad en la creación artística” que invita al público a habitar la fiesta y el sueño como un territorio común donde el movimiento, la imagen y el sonido construyen nuevas posibilidades de encuentro. Integran el elenco personas con y sin discapacidad.

La inauguración de la muestra “Fantasmas en la máquina”, propuesta por la Escuela de Posgrados y su maestría en Artes Visuales y Nuevos Medios, no solo permitió conocer resultados de procesos creativos, sino que propició visitas guiadas para la comunidad UArtes, para instituciones educativas y público en general y constó en la agenda de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Guayaquil (FAU UG).
